TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I believe the youth in Old Crow have so much potential and could succeed in all that Taekwondo offers. Their parents and community must support them by bringing them out on the land, creating healthy home environments, with homework, and cheering them on at Taekwondo practice.
EDUCATION & ACHIEVEMENTS
- BC Silver Medalist
- Highly skilled in many art forms and crafts
- Basic Adult Education class where I learned basic math and reading in my late 20’s
- Steered away from a path leading to drugs and crime in my late teens by joining Taekwondo
REWARDS AND INSPIRATION FOR TEACHING
Watching youth become healthier and more dedicated by increasing their self-confidence and knowledge is very rewarding. Years ago, I dreamed of coming to Old Crow and teaching Taekwondo. I knew the Vuntut Gwitchin youth would be well-suited to this kind of mental and physical training.
